How important is routine for adult cats?
I recently changed jobs, and my schedule is all over the place now. I noticed my cat sits by the door around the time I used to come home and sometimes refuses food if it’s offered at odd hours. I’m worried the lack of routine is stressing her out. Do cats rely heavily on routine the way dogs do?

Maybe start using feeding timers or automatic dispensers if your new schedule is unpredictable. It helps keep some stability in her day, even when you’re away. I use one and it’s been helpful for my cat’s mood.
