Should I crate my cat for long road trips?
We are planning a cross-country move, and I’m unsure about how best to transport her.
Is a soft crate better than a hard carrier? And what about calming meds?

Sign in to commentWe did an 8-hour drive with our cat in a soft-sided carrier. She did great, but she’s super chill and used to car rides. I had her carrier seatbelted in and kept the radio low. Gave her a drop of Rescue Remedy before leaving. Every cat’s different, though, so try a short test drive first.
