We used a gradual exposure method. Before the baby came home, we let our cat sniff the baby's clothes and blanket. Then, once we brought the baby in, we let her observe from a distance, no pressure. Always supervised. Over time, they got comfortable. By 6 months, the baby and cat were already napping side by side. Cats need time.
