Why does my cat avoid drinking from her water bowl but loves the sink?
I recently adopted a 2-year-old rescue named Olive, and while she’s settled in well, she barely touches her water bowl. Yet, the moment I turn on the bathroom sink, she’s there lapping away like it’s Evian. Is this normal? Though i have other cats other than olive, and she drinks from the water bowl so i don't know why it's different with olive. Should I be concerned?

Sign in to commentMy vet said some cats associate still water with being stagnant or unsafe, especially rescues who may have had poor experiences in the past. Try stainless steel or ceramic bowls, or move the bowl to a quieter part of the house. Fountains work wonders, too.
