Is it okay to put my cat in the cage while sleeping? Would 7–8 hours in there be harmful? I recently adopted a young cat, and she turns into a ball of chaos at night—jumping, sprinting, and knocking things over. I tried putting her in a cage so I could get some sleep, but she meows nonstop and it breaks my heart (and my sleep).

Sign in to commentHonestly? If it’s not a medical or travel reason, cats just don’t belong in cages for that long. It goes against their instincts. Imagine being locked in a closet all night. Try tiring her out in the evening and give it time; her sleep schedule will start syncing with yours.
