Why does my cat just stare at me when I sleep?
Okay, this might sound weird, but I’ve woken up more than once to find my cat, just staring at me. Like, full-on, unblinking, sitting-on-my-chest level staring. No pawing, no meowing—just watching.
He’s otherwise super affectionate and playful, but this nighttime stare-down is starting to creep me out a little Is this normal cat behavior? Is he watching over me, or plotting my downfall? Curious to hear if anyone else’s cat does this too

Sign in to commentMine sits by my pillow and just purrs. It’s like a living white noise machine. I used to be weirded out too, but over time I’ve come to think of it as comfort. I guess she’s watching over me or just waiting for breakfast
