Do Parrots Really Need Pet Insurance?

Okay, honest question, does anyone here have pet insurance for their parrot? I’ve seen people talk about it for dogs and cats, but what about birds? Especially parrots, since they live so long and need avian vets, which can be pricey. Is it worth it?

Does it actually cover things like checkups, emergencies, or accidents? And is it hard to find a plan that includes exotic birds? I’m just wondering if it’s something I should look into or if most people just set money aside for emergencies instead.

If you have insurance for your parrot, how did you decide on it? And if you don’t, have you ever wished you had it? Would love to hear your thoughts before I dive down the insurance rabbit hole!
