My adopted cat came with undisclosed behavioral issues

The shelter said she was friendly and social. She's aggressive, territorial, and has attacked me multiple times, requiring stitches. I feel lied to and trapped. I want to give her back but I also feel obligated to keep trying. The shelter clearly knew and didn't tell me. Now I'm stuck dealing with a dangerous animal I wasn't prepared for.
