Coco’s Great Escape
Coco the conure was a tiny ball of feathers and mischief. She had a favorite hobby: escaping her cage. One Saturday morning, her owner Liam left the cage door open just for a second to change the food bowl.
That second was all Coco needed. Whoosh! She zipped across the living room, straight onto the curtain rod. Liam laughed and reached out to her. Coco laughed too, then flew right past him and landed on the kitchen shelf.
She knocked over a spice jar, squawked at her reflection in the microwave, and took a poop on the fruit basket for good measure.
It took 45 minutes, one sunflower seed trail, and a lot of begging for Coco to finally return to Liam’s hand. That night, as she nestled into her cage, Coco chirped, “Good girl!” like she had done Liam a favor.
