I tried making my Mika a DIY bed ... it didn't go well

So, sometime last week, I had some free time and thought I could use it to do something nice for my cat. So I made Mika a cozy little bed out of an old sweater. I fluffed it up, placed it in the perfect sunny spot, and proudly presented it to her. She sniffed it, looked at me, and then ignored it completely. Instead, she walked over to the cardboard box I was about to throw out and made that her new favorite spot. I give up. Cats really do have their own rules.
