The Parrot Parent’s Guide to Playtime: Why Birds Need Fun Too

If there’s one thing I’ve learned about parrots, it’s that they thrive on mental stimulation. Bored parrots can become destructive, finding new (often inconvenient) ways to entertain themselves.

To keep my parrot engaged, I rotate his toys regularly and make sure he has plenty of opportunities for problem-solving, like puzzle feeders or foraging toys.

Parrots love a good challenge, and when they get it, they’re much happier. Plus, playtime strengthens our bond, it’s not just about keeping them occupied, but also about enjoying quality time together.
