Caring for your cat post-surgery is quite hard

The first night after my cat’s spay was rough, not for her, but for me. She gave me that heartbreaking look, like, Why did you let them do this to me? I felt so guilty. But after a few days, she was already bouncing back, acting tougher than I could ever be. It made me realise that recovery is often harder on us emotionally than it is on them physically. Still, keeping her comfortable, monitoring the stitches, and making sure she rested felt like the longest few days ever. How do you all handle those post-surgery nerves?

Post-surgery nerves are real! I made a whole mini recovery corner blankets, soft toys, and a low litter box so she didn’t have to jump. Honestly, it helped me feel more in control, even though she healed up way faster than I expected
