DogsThe Struggle of Leash Training – Who Can Relate?
I used to think all dogs naturally knew how to walk on a leash… until I got one. The first few walks were a disaster, pulling, zigzagging, stopping to sniff every single thing. I almost gave up! But with patience (and lots of treats), we finally got the hang of it.
Now, our walks are my favorite part of the day. Who else struggled with leash training at first?

I actually hired a trainer after struggling for months. She taught me to use short, quick leash corrections and to change direction whenever my dog pulled. It felt weird at first, but it worked! Now, walks are my favorite part of the day instead of a frustrating chore.
Oh, I can relate! My dog acted like the leash was a chew toy at first. I had to start by just getting him used to wearing it inside the house before we even attempted a real walk.
I thought my dog would never learn. Every walk felt like a battle, but consistency and positive reinforcement worked wonders. Now, he walks beside me like a pro!
