The Stubborn, Lovable Personality of a French Bulldog

When I first got my French Bulldog, I was expecting a cute, cuddly companion. What I wasn’t expecting was his stubborn streak. This dog had his own rules. Training him was a test of patience. I’d say “sit,” and he’d look at me like, Why? What’s in it for me? I had to get creative, treats, belly rubs, even acting more excited than necessary just to get him to listen. But when he finally learned something, it stuck. And despite his stubbornness, he has the biggest heart. He follows me from room to room, sleeps right next to me, and gives the funniest little snorts when he’s happy. He might not always listen, but he loves with his whole squishy-faced self.

Owning a Frenchie isn’t for everyone, but for me? I wouldn’t trade Pierre for the world. Do you have a stubborn dog? How do you handle it?
