What’s the best trick for calming a screaming parrot?

Okay, I need help. My parrot has decided that early morning and late evening are the perfect times to scream like she’s auditioning for a jungle documentary.

I’ve tried ignoring her, covering her cage, talking softly, nothing works for long.

Sometimes I think she just enjoys the chaos. Other times, I wonder if she’s bored or wants attention. I love her to bits, but my neighbours are starting to think I live with a siren.

What do you do when your parrot won’t stop screaming? Do you distract them, talk to them, or just wait it out? I’d love to know what’s worked for you.
