My golden won’t stop eating everything outside

My Golden Retriever, Milo, eats everything he finds on walks, such as leaves, sticks, random plastic, even small stones. I’m constantly pulling things out of his mouth. I’m scared he might swallow something dangerous one day.
If you’ve dealt with a Golden that eats the world… how did you stop it?
