Would you insure a feathered drama queen?

So here’s the thing… I’ve been looking into parrot insurance, and honestly, I don’t know if it’s worth it or not.

My parrot acts like a tough guy, but the moment he chews something he shouldn’t, I’m running to the vet in panic.

Vet visits aren’t cheap, and parrots live for decades, so I keep thinking: maybe insurance is the way to go?

But then again, parrots aren’t like dogs or cats. Their “emergencies” are sometimes just them being… dramatic.

Has anyone here actually tried parrot insurance?

Did it help, or was it just one of those things you paid for but hardly used? I’d love to hear real stories before I commit.
