Can Parrots Hold a Grudge?

Zazu, a sassy Senegal parrot, loved his afternoon head scratches, until his owner trimmed his nails one day without warning. For a whole week, Zazu ignored her. He wouldn’t step up. Wouldn’t talk. Wouldn’t even look at her. Only after she brought out exactly three almonds (his favorite) and played his favorite music did he finally turn around, ruffle his feathers, and let out a soft chirp. Peace was restored. Zazu had made his point: trust is earned… and easily dented. Has your parrot ever “punished” you? What worked to fix it?
