CatsMy cat terrorizes my dog and I don't know what to do
My gentle golden retriever is genuinely afraid of my 4kg cat. She swats him, stalks him, and attacks him unprovoked. He's too sweet to fight back, so he just takes the abuse and hides. I thought cats and dogs could coexist peacefully.

Don't fret about it. I found out that there are several reasons why cats may attack dogs. One of them has to do with their natural instincts. Cats are naturally territorial, and behaviours like stalking, ambushing, and swatting can be instinctive feline responses. So, it may not necessarily be that your cat dislikes the dog; it could just be acting on its natural instincts.
